Caroline Hahn, Esq.

Of Counsel / Trial Co-Counsel

Caroline R. Hahn was born in Los Angeles, from immigrant parents. She grew up in Huntington Beach, California and attended high school in Orange County. Ms. Hahn received her undergraduate degree in History, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law. She clerked for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. As a child of immigrant parents, she wanted to help others who could not speak English. As a result, she applied for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She served as a Deputy Public Defender in Orange County. From 2018-2020, she worked at the Federal Public Defender’s Office. She enjoyed helping her clients, many of whom were indigent, struggling with mental illness and drug addiction, and suffering from the effects of poverty.

Ms. Hahn is especially passionate about the juvenile delinquency work she does. She regularly represents juveniles in Juvenile Court. She loves juvenile work because she believes minors who get in trouble with the law at a young age have the ability to change course. She has seen many of her clients turn their lives around as they grow into young adults. Ms. Hahn is committed to helping juveniles get that second chance. She has intimate knowledge of the juvenile justice system. Ms. Hahn has served as a guest lecturer at UCI School of Law, speaking on juvenile justice and practicing in juvenile court. Ms. Hahn has also spoken on different panels regarding juvenile law, including most recently, for the Hanmi Counseling Center.

Ms. Hahn serves as a board member for the Child Guidance Center, a non-profit organization specializing in assisting children and families with mental health in Orange County. Ms. Hahn also takes serious felony cases from the Indigent Defense Panel in Kern County. When Ms. Hahn is not fighting for her clients, she is enjoying time with her husband and three children, cheering them on in their respective sports games.

When a loved one passes away in California, their estate often goes through a legal procedure known as probate. This process ensures that debts are paid and assets are distributed according to the decedent’s will—or, if there’s no will, according to state law. Uncontested probate refers to the process of distributing assets when there are no disputes among the beneficiaries or other interested parties.

“Daniel was very straight forward and honest. Daniel did not over promise or exaggerate anything. Everything that Daniel said would happen, did happen. With the only exceptions being the speed at which he worked and the outcome he was able to produce, which were both beyond our expectations. We truly felt confident and at ease knowing Daniel was on our case, because we felt he was taking care of us as he would his own family. We are blessed to have had Daniel An represent us!"
